As we scale, we are seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Finance to lead and evolve our financial strategy, systems, and cross-functional planning processes.
Position Summary
The VP of Finance will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and be responsible for financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations, HR, and Marketing. This individual will play a pivotal role in scaling the financial infrastructure to support rapid growth and will drive performance insights using systems like Restaurant365.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Finance Leadership
- Lead the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial planning aligned with company objectives.
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to drive financial strategy and sustainable growth.
- Create and Establish financial processes that improve efficiency and accountability across the organization.
- Restaurant365 Expertise
- Oversee implementation, optimization, and utilization of Restaurant365 for accounting, operations reporting, and data-driven insights.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting using the platform for Corporate and Store Level Operations.
- FP&A
- Build and execute the financial planning function, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Build and manage a robust FP&A function to provide actionable insights across revenue streams, cost structures, and unit-level profitability.
- Analyze sales trends, labor metrics, food and beverage costs, and marketing ROI to support decision-making.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead company-wide budgeting process in coordination with department leaders.
- Develop forecasting models to support rapid growth, including new store openings, capital planning, and cash flow projections.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the financial liaison across departments including Operations, Marketing, HR, and Development.
- Collaborate with Ops leadership to establish KPIs and monitor performance at the store and regional level.
- Collaborate with leadership, Operations, and department heads to provide insights that drive decision-making.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations, working closely with external auditors and tax professionals.
- Deliver live financial reporting and analysis, identifying opportunities for revenue growth and cost control.
- Provide clear, data-driven insights to executive team, leadership, and ownership.
- Develop KPI dashboards to track store level performance and improve margins.
- Team Leadership
- Hands On and make an immediate impact, from high-level strategy to day-to-day financial execution.
- Build, mentor, and manage a growing finance and accounting team.
- Instill a culture of financial discipline and accountability throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably in a multi-unit restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Hands-on experience with Restaurant365 is required.
- Strong background in FP&A, budgeting, and cross-functional financial operations.
- Demonstrated success in scaling financial processes in a growth-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
