Director of Facilities Management | Full Service Restaurant Company

The Director of Facilities will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility management across the restaurant chain. This includes maintenance, safety, renovations, and compliance to ensure all restaurant locations operate efficiently and meet brand standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Facility Maintenance & Repair: Manage and coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, and improvements across all restaurant sites. Establish and monitor maintenance schedules to ensure equipment and facilities are in top condition.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets for facility operations and capital expenditures. Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate contracts with vendors for services.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Implement and oversee safety programs, including emergency preparedness and response.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with vendors and contractors, ensuring quality service and adherence to contract terms. Evaluate and approve new vendors as needed.
  • Renovation and Expansion Projects: Coordinate with project managers and contractors to handle renovations and new restaurant openings, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to company standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, train, and develop the facilities management team, fostering a proactive approach to facility issues and maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Full Service Restaurant experience is needed for this role.
  • Professional certifications (CFM, FMP) are a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years in facilities management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within the full service restaurant industry.

Skills:

  • Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
  • Excellent communication and vendor negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage and develop a team across multiple locations.
